What does my contribution go towards?
Why individual support matters
Despite the growing number of people attending live performances annually - including theatre, music, dance, circus performances, musicals, comedy shows and cabarets - independent performance often struggles to find funding within traditional cultural institutions.
Indeed, the French cultural sector has faced ‘violent’ cuts in 2025 of €150 million, directly putting the arts under threat, particularly in terms of freedom of research, creation and expression. With national and local budget cuts, Paris-based theatres and cultural organisations are at higher risk.
Private donors ensure that these creative institutions and vital artistic spaces remain intact - and thrive - even in the face of such insecurity, through the provision of resources and funds.
